Just a quick question for you guys.

I need to send an email around the office tomorrow to announce that I'm leaving to move overseas. Everyone knows that I'm a music obsessive and I really want to quote some lyrics at the start of the email. I'd really like to use PJ lyrics but I'm having trouble coming up with something.

Any suggestions? The email will basically just be announcing my decision to leave and the lyrics just need to be a kind of "So long, see ya later" kind of vibe.

Thanks ,
C

p.s. I already know what I'm going to send around on my last day:

This is
my
Last Exit!
“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
(Tim Rogers)

    off he goes..........
  • I'd just explain that you wanted to use a PJ song/lyric but in the end you had to go with Boyz II Men. If they love you, they'll understand.

This is for sure my farewell song... I'm not sure you could go wrong with anything from Into the Wild, but my vote is for "Far Behind"

    My shadow runs with me
    Underneath the big white sun
My shadow comes with me as we leave it all
We leave it all far behind...

    Subtle voices in the wind,
    And the truth they're telling
The world begins where the road ends
Watch me leave it all behind
    Far behind...
