    Given the past few years of music from Cornell, I'll go with Layne. A few years ago I don't think I could have decided.

    if it's present day chris, then i'm gonna go with layne. i can picture chris not wanting to get his designer jeans dirty and have his buddy timbaland in his corner interfering.

    if it's badmotorfinger chris, then he'd totally whip layne's ass. no offense to layne.

    Cornell, without a doubt, but I have to admit I agreed with myself that 'Scream' and Timbaland never happened. The last two years never happened and he's still the acidly sarcastic rockstar with a voice that can tear down walls. Layne is great, but Cornell's (old) music and style hint to the devine.

    Layne, for one simple reason; The epic vocal performance that was the MTV unplugged album. That album took his vocals to a whole new level IMO
