Unthought Known for Haiti?
Pearl Jam (or at least Ed) usually shows up when people are in need. Here is an idea that can help a lot of people.
They should play Unthought Known for the Wyclef Jean telethon. Change the lyrics in the middle to "Something's left..." etc. Then announce that they're releasing that song as a single with all proceeds going directly to Haiti. Heck, borrowing from another idea I've seen here, they could even make "My City of Ruins" the B-side. The song really lends itself to a telethon, complete with "So what you giving?"
They'd could even end up with another "Last Kiss," and this time the song is actually on a PJ album. That might make Target happy too.
And then Rush Limbaugh could gleefully lump them in with Obama as catastrophe opportunists.
Far be it from me to tell the band who's given me so much what to do, but I'm really not. What are the chances they're listening to Yes Way from the forum. I have a better chance of finding Benaroya on vinyl for $50.
