So I parked next to a DeLorean yesterday

went to the mall to the cheesecake factory and pulled up to a spot and saw the car next to it and said to my girlfriend, "what the hell is that? looks like a delorean!" (jokingly). bout 5 seconds later she jumps out and says oh my god it is! my face almost melted :D since back to the future is one of my favorite all time movies this was one of the best moments of my life haha :D

    i went to the St. Patties parade downtown chicago back in 99 (i think that was the year) and they had a dozen or so regular ones, and one that was converted into a monster car.

    there is a company that sells refurbed ones.

    That's not a REAL DeLorean. That thing doesn't even have a flux capacitor in it...

    There is nothing like seeing one for real, not just pics. I saw my first one many years ago in Royal Oak, Michigan during the Dream cruise, its an annual event where people with old cars, muscle cars, etc. cruise Woodward Ave. Its a 3 day event. anyway, the Delorean wasn't part of the cruise, it was parked on a street one block away from the Dream Cruise happenings.
    I didn't know what it was at first. I had to look and check it out. I am not sure if I have ever seen another one. I only remember that one. Its something to see!

    I saw one at a car show up in Montreal a few years ago. It was located next to a room full of Ferrari's. Its funny because I found myself more interested in the DeLorean because of my childhood love for Back to the Future. Great car!

    Thats about as fast as it can go anyway.

    They are very slow and have poor handling. Its just a car from a movie.

    There is this group called Guerllia Drive in located in West Chester. And about once a month they have selected movies and during the summer they played Back to The Future in a parking garage in West Chester. Had about 5 Deloreans there.

    One thing about a De Lorean that stainless steel donsen't rust much. :D I last saw one ridng around Palm Beach Florida 2 years ago I wonder if Rush Limbaugh was riding in it?

    Dont know if any of you stateside folk heard of this, but a band called Neon Neon released an album called "Stainless Style" in 2008. It's an entire concept album about John Delorean.

    In the bands words: "The album is a full-on concept record about the wives and lives of John DeLorean, so it's been a real pleasure to think about various scenarios relating to his life and imaginary scenarios that may have happened to him on the way. And so musically we've been writing in a style that personally mirrored his kind of fast, cocktail-driven lifestyle. ... It's a very frivolous electro-pop record about the first playboy engineer"

    Imo It's a fantastic album, (Fab Moretti and Har Mar Superstar are on it too)...think elctro-pop/disco, but in a good way. These are some of the vids from it. (The band is a side-project of the Welsh singer from Super Furry Animals).

    I saw one of these yesterday. I'm not into cars or anything, but this thing really caught my eye. It wasn't pink, it was more of a blue green and it was gorgeous. The license plate said OOH AHH

    i wouldn't mind having a Prowler. They look bad ass, but sadly, the have no balls under the hood. at lesat not from the factory
