I saw that you forgot to plan a gig in Luxemburg!?! That's not a big problem because I'm sure we can still find a date and fix a gig!
Mister band manager take alook at this Infos, please.

To beginn why Luxemburg?
That's really simple because it's a little country surrounded by bigger ones. This means that this gig is the possibility to create a sort of pearl jam fans melting pot. Our neighbours are France,Germany and Belgium. Not to forget that the dutchs wouldn't have a very long way too.
We are very close to cities like Metz,Nancy(France), Trier,Saarbrücken,Mainz, Köln( Germany), Arlon,Liège,Bruxelles(Belgium), Maastrich(Netherlands)

http://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/europe/lu.htm

This pic shows the main railways map:
http://www.alleuroperail.com/eurorailway-maps/benelux-map.htm

Another positif thing is that we are a really friendly population. We are really open to other cultures, nations and traditions. We have about 170000 immigrants from all over the world that makes a percentage of about 38%.
Almost EVERY Luxemburger speaks German, French, English and Luxemburgish.
We also have a large Community of Portuguese, Italians and Britains. And since the wars in ex-yougoslawia there are about 10000 new immigrants from those countrys.
An more "european" concert than in Luxemburg is not possible, only here you can reach more than just one culture.

Even if we are a little country we have very beautiful and different regions you could explore The OESLING a part from the ardennes and The GUTLAND with the Luxembourg plateau, in south-central Luxembourg which is a large, flat, sandstone formation and the city of Luxembourg. Our so called "Little Switzerland", in the east of Luxembourg, has craggy terrain and thick forests. The Moselle valley is the lowest-lying region, running along the south-eastern border. The Red Lands, in the far south and southwest, are Luxembourg's industrial heartland and home to many of Luxembourg's largest towns.

Another good point ( maybe for Eddie! ) is that we make very good wines. Our Moselle region has very ood grapes because of it's almost perfect microclima. If the band would come, I could organize a little visit through the Caves from different wine makers.

http://www.vinsmoselle.lu/en/our-vineyards-and-estates.html

For those who don't like wine I could propose BEER. We have four bigger breweries called Mousel, Diekirch, Simon and Bofferding. Different types and lagers are availlable. Like the new Prestige beer from Simon with champagne.
We also had a brewery caled Battin which is now made by Bofferding.
I could also recommand our three brewpubs Beierhaascht, Cornelyshoff and Redange.

So at last but not at least the venue were the gig could be !!!!!
The Rockhal at Esch/Alzette

http://www.rockhal.lu/en/rockhal/large-hall/index.php

but smaller venues can be find!!!!!

So mister Kelly Curtis if you need more infos you can p.m. me or write an E-mail!

I finally got two days free after 7 days of work.......
So today I tought I could help Mr Curtis to find a great venue ;)

But it's funny that there are persons who think that it's impossible that a band like Pearl Jam would make a gig in our little country.
I would love to go to a concert in a little country. I mean we really got venues for huge bands. We got the Rockhal a very cool place...
I'm sure that you would come, or ?!?

Sign me up for your petition :D and never give up!
They came to my hometown, here in Northwest Ontario, Canada and played a less than 5000 seat venue, nowhere as nice as yours, so I don't see why they couldn't play Lux some day. Cheers

The Rockhal got a great sound! It is used for different kinds of music like Tool, Paolo Conte (italian songwriter), folk, classic, ska, punk and I never heard someone complaing about the sound.

We all know that Pearl Jam is gonna tour Europe during July! :)

Time for a unforgettable gig in Luxemburg!

Here some other interresting stuff ( Thanks to Wikipedia)

    [edit] Food
Luxembourg's cuisine has been influenced over the years by neighboring France and Germany. More recently, it has had influence from its many Italian and Portuguese immigrants. Luxembourg has many delicacies: pastries, Luxembourg Cheese, the fresh fish from local rivers (trout, pike, and crayfish), Ardennes ham smoked in saltpeter, game during hunting season (such as hare and wild boar), small plum tarts in September (quetsch), smoked neck of pork with broad beans (judd mat gaardebounen), fried small river fish (such as bream, chub, gudgeon, roach, and rudd), calves' liver dumplings (quenelles) with sauerkraut and boiled potatoes, black pudding (treipen) and sausages with mashed potatoes and horseradish, and green-bean soup (bouneschlupp). French cuisine is featured prominently on many menus, and German and Belgian cuisine (but not as much).

    [edit] Alcohol
In 1993 it was reported that Luxembourg had the highest worldwide per capita consumption of alcohol; an average of three beers a day for every man, woman, and child. French wine is the most commonly drunk alcohol, and fine beers from Germany and Belgium are widely available. Alcohol is available cheaper in Luxembourg than anywhere else in Europe. It's also common to come across home-produced alcohol, called eau de vie, distilled from various different fruits and usually fifty percent alcohol by volume.

Some white and sparkling wines are even produced in Luxembourg, alongside the north bank of the Moselle, which has a winemaking history dating back to the Romans. The names of some wines made in Luxembourg: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Rivaner, Elbling, Gewurztraminer, and Crémant de Luxembourg. Look for the National Mark, which identifies authentic Luxembourg wine.

Luxembourg has a fair number of breweries, given its tiny size. Imported beers, however, have control of the beer market in Luxembourg. During the 1970s and 1980s, over 600,000 hectoliters of beer were brewed each year. The peak was reached in 1976 when over 800,000 hectoliters of beer were brewed, and since then the amount has been decreasing. In 2001, production dropped below 400,000 hectoliters for the first time since 1950. Some beers currently made in Luxembourg: Battin Edelpils and other beers at the Brasserie Battin, Bière Blonde and others at the Restaurant Beierhaascht, Bofferding Lager and others at the Brasserie Bofferding, Héngeschter and others at the Cornelyshaff, Diekirch Premium and others at the Brasserie de Luxembourg Mousel-Diekirch SA, Simon Dinkel and others at the Brasserie Simon. The Brasserie de Redang also brewed beer for five years, but closed in 2005.

Note this: Alcohol is available cheaper in Luxembourg than anywhere else in Europe

    Luxpjamer, I understand you!!!

Nice effort, by the way! Maybe some day you'll have the guys playing there, who knows?

Portugal is also a small country (about 10 million people), but we've been blessed with 3 PJ visits (in a total of 5 concerts) up to now (another one coming up in June), and for many maybe it wouldn't make sense also for them coming here...
I mean, as I said, 10 million, we're between the atlantic ocean and Spain (which is so much bigger and gets gigs in several cities...also, it wouldn't be that difficult to get to Madrid, for instance, like 6 hour drive or something, or by train...). In a way we're this little rectangle put in the most western part of continental europe and could very easily be "left behind".
    thank god we're not!!!!
So, good luck with your Lux campaign!!! :)

PS - I have a friend who lived in Luxembourg for a year or so, and she kept on bumping on people speaking portuguese, it's really a big community there! also, she LOVES beer, and between Lux and Belgium, she could have a different one each day of the year!!! :)
