You can't start out as a die hard.0 -
I was 18 years old way back in 92' bought a cassette copy from "IT Records" in Portadown, N.Ireland. The reason i bought it was because of "ONCE" I was serving my apprenticeship as a joiner/carpenter and the guy I was working with played it constantly on this massive ghetto blaster! I must admit to thinking the lyrics went- "once oohh party time.." I was soon corrected! Also remember seeing the video to "alive" on a program i think was called "finding fax future" on rte. I remember thinking "that guys got one crazy hat on!"0

I think I bought mine at Caldor, too! I'm trying to remember if that was the cheesy K Mart equivalent in the Lincoln Mall, Rhode Island, 1992. I was 18. It was about the fourth CD I had ever purchased, since CDs were newfangled technology back then! All my 1992 CDs came with a lovely paperboard longbox. Remember those?!?"May you live in interesting times."0

I was 19 when PJ came onto the scene...my brother's girlfirend worked for a radio station in San Francisco and she sent me a cassette of a gig from PJ's first European tour...I subsequently received comp tickets to see them at First Avenue in Minneapolis...I picked up the TEN disc at the show after they played...they spray painted a stickman on the backstage/loading door on the side of the club at some point...idiots at First Avenue have since painted over it! I loved walking past that club and seeing the stickman, courtesy of Ed from their first Minneapolis gig....I cannot see myself ever feeling like that again (in regards to music) but I am so grateful to have been witness to it...fucking sweeeeet time to be alive...."No way to save someone who won't take the rope, and just lets go..."0

I can't remember that far back. But it was a cassette and it was about 1992 (I was 10). I got it because my friend's older brother had it and we thought it was like the coolest thing ever. A 10 year old listening to Jeremy, Alive, Even Flow, and Why Go for the first time opened my heart and mind to things I never thought were possible at the time."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250
