New Day

the wolf

the sun came up today,
right on time
i woke up and pretended to
be interested in what the day would bring
it did not disappoint
family, friends
a party
drunk people sitting around with acoustic guitar in hand,
singing songs and forgetting the words
people unaware, asking where you were
then feeling bad when i told them
now its 1:04 a.m. , i'm not tired
but everyone i know actually sleeps at night
so i guess i should try too
must be prepared for tomorrow
because have been told that
"the sun will rise another day"
and i must be well rested
to fake my way through another day,
without you.

But, after awhile, you may not know what is real, fake, honesty, or lies.... I think being true to yourself and one another would be a better route. Maybe not always easy, but better.

I like this one because I think we've all felt this way at one time or another.

We can't always put all our deep feelings on the surface so don't fret about occasionally having to wear a mask around others. I think when it becomes a problem is when it becomes constant or goes on for a long period of time.
