I'm watching a Metallica Blu-Ray from France that came in the mail today. It looks (and sounds) awesome. It'd be nice of Pearl Jam could put on a show in HD.
After seeing three of the Aussie shows and hearing great reports from the ones I did not see, a blu-ray Aussie/NZ Tour DVD would be incredible. Big outdoor venues, the band obviously having a great time, big GA audiences and great set-lists would make an awesome addition to any PJ collection.
Then you have the special guests - Ben Harper (Under Pressure, Red Mosquito, Indifference), Liam Finn (Throw Your Arms Around Me), Neil Finn & Liam Finn (Better Be Home Soon, I Got You, Not Given Lightly)
In addition the presence of at least 8 cameras at each show means there must be an incredible amount of footage suitable for editing into something pretty slick. What was displayed on the screens was pretty damn good.
They could throw in Hunger Stirke & Alive from LA3, Kick Out the Jams from LA4 and Mountain Song from ACL as bonus extras.
