Like mine would be Given To Fly - love the studio version and there is no denying that live it is different, EdVed sings it different and it is way more intense

You got a song that you like live which is different that it's studio couterpart some how?

    For me there are a bunch of songs I like live more than the studio version. It's something about that raw, no bullshit mixing, etc. that makes a song better. With that being said, I didn't really fall in love with Hard to Imagine until I heard my first boot version. So for me it would be Hard to Imagine.

    cliche choice but the fixer- studio version is eh, live its much better (tho backspacer as a whole still doesnt do much for me)

    in my tree. i'm not a huge fan of the studio version, but i LOVE the live take of it.

    honestly im not a fan of do the evolution studio, but when its played live i love it

    I got lots of songs I prefer live. I'd say one of my personal favorites would be Whipping and I Got Id.

    Daughter for me is a radio overplay in these parts,but live I love when the boys jam at the end into another song(It's OK)for example.

    Given to fly and DTE, which have already been mentioned immediately jump to mind, but there are many PJ songs I feel this way about.
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

    I agree with 1/2 full - I skipped it on Riot Act for a long time - I just didn't get it, hell it almost doesn't fit with the rest of the album
    I even heard it live on a few bootlegs and still didnot care for it
    But I expierenced it at Bonnaroo and well "...the halves be havin more... yes they steal more... what the fuck!!"

    gotta love it and that guitar work is stellar

    if i sit and think i'm sure i can come up with alot .. but lets see ..

    well, i don't think this next song is better live but its interesting to say how it's different.
    i think in hiding live is much more celebratory, whereas the studio version is more introspective. both AMAZING.

    i would have to say porch hands down. studio version is less than 3 minutes and live....geez up to ten minutes in some cases!

    insignificance for me. do like the studio but live is awesome.

    in my tree is the reverse - i LOVE the studio but don't know where my favorite line went live "up here so high the sky i scrape" - anyone???

    I really loved the live SOLAT from 92, 93, 94. I loved SOLAT from the studio. I dislike new-SOLAT.

    Im pretty sure many will disagree but I dont think Amongst the Waves and Unthought Known sound good live. I was pretty disappointed when I heard them on youtube. (haven't heard them live) Those are 2 songs that should NOT be sped up. Its like speeding up alive, imagine how terrible that would sound? Certain songs just shouldnt be sped up and those 2 shouldnt. They can get away with alot of songs being sped up and they'll still sound ok, but some just shouldnt. All of the hard rockers on Backspacer sound great though. The Fixer and Johnny Guitar kicked my ass at the philly show. (ESPECIALLY Johnny Guitar, that song is AMAZING live)

    I also think Avocado sounds amazing live, I never understood why people thought it didnt translate well live.

    I don’t hear the studio version so much...but I'd love to hear this live :!: I like the live version.
