Holy crap I can't believe some people. I've never thought Radiohead was that good.

Jack White by 500 miles and then 500 more.

I really like what thom does with radiohead but he gets a lot more help. Jack drives every project he does.

He has plenty of help from Brendan Benson and, presumably the members of DW.

And yet those projects (while great) are inferior to The White Stripes (IMO).

    Coincidence? :eh:

How quickly people forget that turd of a solo album Thom put out.

I don't know why, but I just can't learn to like Jack White. Each of his projects sound nearly identical to me, and I guess I just don't like that sound he's come up with for himself.

It's gonna be a glorious day...
  • This is a tough one. I haven't really been into anything Thom has done since Amnesiac. I like a couple of tunes on In Rainbows....but there's really nothing that I love. The White Stripes have sort of replaced Radiohead for me over the last few years.

But if I could only choose one guy's catalog to have, it's be Yorke's.

Jack white hands down. He would kick so much ass. Thom wouldn't even be able to withstand it.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
  • Tough one. Jack White by a nose.

Jack by a country mile. The last truly great Radiohead song in my opinion was Street Spirit, whereas Jack's work has been of a consistently high standard
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

Thom rather easily. Sure, he gets more help, but he's the leader of what may be the best band of the last decade (and arguably the 2nd half of the '90s) and I consider him a more genius songwriter than Jack. I believe that Jack is more skilled at playing his instruments, though. I expect Jack to win mostly because his style of music is more attuned to that of Pearl Jam's.

Also, Jack is a pretty muscular dude.
