    I don't think you have to pay anything to standby on a later flight if you miss yours.

    You could just go and check in at one of the automatic kiosks and simply select a later flight.

    simple way bro, book your flight later , an just say u have the ealier flight that way you can surprise her with a lil more time to spend with her cause its not lieing if your doing it to benfit them or surprise them then its a sercet... sorry about my spelling

    when you check in at the kiosk you can check other flights. i don't think there is a fee, but don't quote me on that. not sure what would happen if you just missed your flight. i don't think there would be a change fee, but you might need a good excuse, because they will page you a half dozen times. if your second flight is over booked, the airline will pay you to take a later flight.
