Pearl Jam's "Amongst the Waves" would be cool, indeed.

Judging the ABC music supervisor's (for any of their current shows) choices, however, it would seem that they would use a cover version from an emo piano-pop band  for some commercial montage set to the song. So it would be awful, in that case.

  • What about that would make your life? I don't get the freaking out when people on this board hear a pearl jam song on tv, for two seconds when going to commercial during a sports broadcast, on the radio in a retail store, at a hockey game, at the DMV, at the gyno's office or anywhere else on earth you hear pearl jam. You own the CDs. Being that we don't live under a communist regime, you are free to listen to the CDs whenever you like. They are the exact same songs.

I love to get caught off guard and hear PJ out and about or on TV- silly but its almost a pride thing
Now lets see if we can get some hard driving PJ on GH
    that would be cool
especially during those"I'm having a full of emotion deep thinking" moment the soaps are known for

Although I agree, PJ seems to want their songs played on Network TV, so it's not that far-fetched that the OP just may get his wish...

C'mon. You don't feel a LITTLE surge of pride when you hear a PJ song outside the context of your headphones? It's like validation that the outside world still knows who they are (and that they can still rock). I know I'm not the only one who feels that way...

They did an Austin City Limits brodcast, headlined at, like, 15 festivals, and opened the Tonight Show w/ Conan. Compared to the last 15 years, they are practically a Bravo reality show at this point when it comes to overexposure : )

It's cool to hear a Pearl Jam tune @ a hockey game, in the mall, in the elevator and now greatly played on TV. Don't know what the fuss is all about. I would rather hear some Pearl Jam then that pop dance crap this planet has been plagued with. With all these TV series adding a Pearl Jam track here & there, who cares. Won't see me buying that series DVD cause of that episode that just played a single Pearl Jam track (well, maybe, cause I'm a Pearl Jam DVD collecting nut), but besides the point, why all the madness?

Though I do hope Pearl Jam doesn't give that boring ass Lost series a track to play with. When will a show that should of been finished up 2 seasons ago wrap up?
  • Oh I am such a little asshole - The End was on Castle - we dont' do tv at my house, kids get bad grades and don't wanna go out side - we haven't had true TV in over 5 years - do netflix and have the roku box to watch it right away and got a new tv so just hook the lap top up to it and watch network tv online on the big tv

Anyway LOST would be perfect for The End but seeing how it is already "taken" LOST should get Supersonic fittling lyrics or I Got Shit

LOST is exaclty like the Pearl Jam catalog - each new season is hard to digest and sometimes you have to back a few albums to appreciate the new one and sometimes a new episode will reconnect you with an older song you might not have dug so much making it into your new top 5 - crazy thing the heart the mind the music

-- now Pearl Jam DVD nut - what is there besides MTV Unplugged - 2000 touring - live at the garden - live at the showbox and picture in a frame (please don't mention the unmentionalble soon to be dvd, bluray, phillystuff)
