Tax them more to help pay for lawnmowers for those that can't afford them.

Actually don't they also have enough tv shows yet?

Require them & their children to do community service with those less fortunate, so as to widen their perspectives.

The worst depiction of Americans has to be a 2 way tie for second... Real Housewives (which makes for a strong case that marriage ain't the sanctity it's made out to be)... and that show where spoiled little brats cry because their fucked up parents only spent $240,000.00 on their 16th birthday (and didn't get R.Kelly to sing for them)...
But, the worst depiction of Americans has to go to 'Jersey Shore'. This is definately an Al Qeada recruitment tool... hell, those assholes make me want to nuke us. I think part of the War On Terror should be the First Marines Armored Division flattening of MTV. Ending the exporting of showing Americans as meathead, gym-rat, muscle-brained douchebags that only care about their hair, biceps, clothing and needle dicks will go a long way in the terrorists not hating us so much.

i caught part of jersey shore a few weeks ago, my god!

the other show you are thinking about with the brats was something like my super sweet 16. i liked the one where the girl threw a fit because her parents bought her a top of the line Lexus instead of a BMW or something and how that ruined her party, birthday AND made her look stupid!

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

    I LOVE "JERSEY SHORE."

Have you watched it? I was one of the first people to hate on it before I watched it-- and it turns out the show really wasn't what I expected. Besides, I had to watch it. I know "Snooki," she dated one of my band members for years. She is NOT acting on this show in the least bit.

I really don't think they make Americans or even Italian-Americans look all that bad-- as far as "guidos" go, the people on this show are pretty tame. I find them to be more comical than irritating. Guidos CAN be the most horrendous of human beings, esepcially when they take themselves far too seriously. The cast of Jersey Shore are Guido emabassadors as far as I'm concerned.

Besides, I think the terrorists hate us a lot more for our physical presences in the Middle East-- not because we like crappy TV.

How would you classify less fortunate? No money? No family? How about we require everyone to stay out of everyones elses business?

I think we need to tax them more, to give their money to the women/children on welfare. Then, when the women/children on welfare are doing ok, tax them back to welfare and give the money back to the original women/children.

I love this. But there's been a huge debate going on with the idea of high schoolers being "forced" to do community service. (even though there's plenty to learn from it AND it looks good on their high school record)

Why not make it part of the classwork in a required class. Simple and would have more of a lasting effect than a lot of the other stuff that is taught.

Personally I think we should grind up 35% of them and feed them to the illegitimate children of the welfare class.

At my (sorta) "step-daughter's" school.... if parent's pay $280... the kid doesnt have to do their community service. So... why would we have Anna volunteer at Big Brother's Big Sister's for seven hours, feel a sense of accomplishment and giving.... and learn knew things that may open her eyes to SOME KIND of career options.... when Mommy and Daddy (who have minimal discretionary cash) can buy her way out of it!??!

She's 16. I was shocked when i heard they did this!!!!

    Oh well......

How would you classify less fortunate? No money? No family??

Could be any of the above... agencies like Big Brothers/Big Sisters have tons of volunteer opportunities and work with children and families from many different socioeconomic backgrounds..... so it could be $... it could be lack of family... both... It could be like another agency I used to work for that serviced childern and families of children with severe autism and MR.There are MANY volunteer opportunities... or they could be children and families like I work with now... ones involved in the foster care system ...or families that we are trying to keep OUT of the foster care system

These are just a few examples... but all have a host of volunteer opportunities... from working directly with kids and families... to fundraising... to folding flyers... stamping envelopes ... making phone calls.... working at "events" .... the opportunities are ENDLESS...
How about we require everyone to stay out of everyones elses business?

    :?:

Require everyone to stay out of everyone's business? I don't even understand what you are getting at. Seems so out of left field. You mean.... NOT help children and families in need?

All I am saying if someone wants to help let them if not who cares. Why are we all about forcing people to do things? If I needed help and someone was forced to help me I would feel pretty awkward. That is all I am saying,
