No such luck... it'll be crappy Carling. Bleurgh!! :(

You need to find yourself a half decent pub that sells real ale ;)

Ohhh I love Newkie Broon! (Newcastle Brown ale) I drank too much of it in my youth though... might treat myself to one or two on tour! :D

England does have far better real ales though, try them if you get chance

    Hey,
What time do you guys plan on queueing in the morning? Me and my sis have never done this before and we want to get to the barriers.. :D
If we arrive around 8 am, will it be okay? Or should we be there earlier?
Also, do we queue in front of the box office or the gates?? How does this work?

    8 days to go!!

Still kind of amazed I'll be at this one. I was in France on a business trip when this tour was announced. I told my European sales guy I would love to come back for one of these shows, and he said, "We'll see what we can do." And... I'm coming back!! Business meetings in Paris, Istanbul and finishing up in London on the 24th!! How cool is that! Looking forward to seeing some of the folks I met three years ago! Dunk, JRD, Paul, etc... Any preparty at Waxy's this year? Haven't had time to search the boards for the party location, yet, but I'll find it!
    Cheers!

hey Mike - there's something going on the evening of the 24th but i don't know what or where  having persuaded the missus to let me go to Dublin and Belfast i think a night at home is in order before the London show...! i'm sure someone can give you the details, or the thread that they're in...

but on the 25th some of us (Dunk, Mrs Dunk, Dunk's mate Don... who else?) will probably be meeting up for beers in a pub near Hyde Park if you're on for that ? 8-)
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
  • unsungunsung I stopped by on March 7 2024. First time in many years, had to update payment info. Hope all is well. Politicians suck. Bye. Posts: 9,487

Wasn't, honestly, but I didn't know the answer.

Do you have Tenclub tickets? They allow early entry at 14:15 instead of the GA 14:30.

If you want to get to the barrier I suggest you get there much earlier than 8am... there will already be a queue at that time. Friends of mine queued last year for London to get barrier and started at 4am...

Also, be prepared, there are some people who take queuing VERY seriously. If you get there early enough you'll probably have a number scribbled on your hand to ensure you keep YOUR place in the queue and don't get pushed back or can't jump a few places. If you're planning on staying at the front I suggest you don't drink very much all day, if you catch my drift... but if it's warm I don't suggest you jeopardise your health just to end up missing the show and being carried out by front of stage security cuz you passed out...

Oh, and when they do open the doors, run.

Queuing is a very serious business at PJ shows...

    Hope this helps

Also I think people didn't answer as a lot of people aren't planning on queueing for this one ... too long a day and too many people ... so they're going to the pub instead ;)

A lot of the serious queuers don't frequent these parts :P
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

    would have told the same.
i once nearly passed out in the front (the incense-stick tour, uah) and this spoiled the evening, of course. thats not worth it. go early, run and try, but dont be stupid and better get a 'nicer' spot somewhere if you or your friend dont feel well after hours of waiting. good luck and take care!

offtopic, sorry, but someone has a idea for nice spot to watch football on wednesday? somewhere around kings cross. just asking as it seems the pub experts are here ;-)
