    It's warming up after an unusually long cold snap with repeated snow falls that wouldn't melt. Such weather is basically unheard of in Vancouver. The city has been almost totally incapable of dealing with all the snow/ice that wouldn't melt on roads and sidewalks for the past few weeks. There were actually embarrassing scuffles over free salt at firehalls, which was quite the embarrassing local scandal (and it even brought up some racial issues). Ridiculous. Anyway, I have been LOVING the cold weather - i wish it was -2C all year long - but having sidewalks covered in several inches of packed snow turned solid ice for weeks has been a real pain in the ass when getting around, so I am glad it's finally warming up to normal so it will melt, even though I will miss the crisp, clear days we've been having between snowfalls. Back to normal, mild winter weather with rain. At least it will wash away all the controversial salt, lol.

    I don't mind the cold or the rain of the PNW, but I live in the effing valley for a reason... It doesn't snow... So WTF is this garbage? I am so over the white shit!

    Did anybody hear about the sinkhole in Studio City that swallowed 2 cars? It's in our neighborhood. I thought it was a 30 ft. sinkhole, I guess it was 20 feet. We drove by it today after running errands. Lots of neighborhood people around. Crazy. And crazy weather here yesterday. There's video in the LA Times piece of one of the cars going into the sinkhole.

    Currently there is over 10+ million under winter alerts. Good luck to anyone here in those areas.

    Crazy weather here in MI for February. It's been in the 50-60s all week. Now it's storming thunder and lightning like it's summer time.

    I think there were even talks of tornado weather some where too.

    Wow! I miss snowstorms (as long as I didn't have to go anywhere). But living with snow on a regular basis...no thank you. Must be all those memories of freezing while shoveling snow as a kid. :)

    February in Ohio isn't supposed to be in the 70's. I even gardened today.
