    Apparently will be close to or setting record cold temps today in my area. Just got in from the cold ,,, wow. Good news my employer has cancelled work today ... so thats a plus.

    the lady's car hasn't started in two days. pulled the battery out of her car last night, kept it in the apartment overnight hoping that would do the trick, keeping it at room temperature. no dice, needed a new battery. walked a mile to the closest AutoZone to get a new battery and walked the mile back carrying said 15 pound battery (-10 or so in chicago today?). where is the facepalm emoticon again? :)

    but i must mention i brought my skateboard hoping to put the battery on it and roll it home. i put rope around the wheels so i could just pull it like a cart. great in theory, but our entire walk wasn't shoveled. so i carried the battery and she carried the skateboard.

    car starts.
