Nissan Pavilion name gives way to Jiffy Lube Live
By the Associated Press
January 9, 2010
BRISTOW, Va. - Concert promoter Live Nation Inc. is apparently re-branding Virginia's 25,000-seat Nissan Pavilion with a new name: Jiffy Lube Live.
The company has not commented on the name change. But Live Nation's Web site is now referring to the Washington area's largest concert venue as Jiffy Lube Live. The venue is located in Bristow, Va.
The name change comes just as shareholders approved the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. The merger is still subject to approval by U.S. antitrust authorities.

After waiting like 3 hours in a line to enter the parking lot, missing the last show I went to there... I'll try never to go back, despite potential lubrication.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

I've been to Nissan Pavilion many many times and quite a nice drive out west to Virginia. However, it used to be a clusterfuck of a place 12 years ago to go see a concert. You could get into the place fairly easy IF you gave yourself 2-3 hours but getting the hell out of there back then was another story.
I almost gave up going there after a RUSH concert I spent 3 and half hours trying to get the hell out of there. It ruin a almost perfect night as RUSH put on a masterful show, I didn't get home until almost 4 that morning. It's now 10x' s better now and a much more desirable time going home.
Now I can say to my friends let's go down to THE Lube or I need a Lube Job.

We were in line to enter the parking lot around 6:00 or 6:30pm. At about 10:10pm we enter, having missed most of the show.
...I negotiated a 100% refund, then a refund from TM.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.
