I can only assume by such a ridiculous fucking post that you must walk everywhere, abstain from using anything with petroleum based plastics (including that keyboard you're punching on), and you live completely off the grid. The planet is absolutely being destroyed to a certain degree by greedy corporations and individuals, there's no doubt about that. There are assholes everywhere, it's an unfortunate reality. But if you think you are changing anyone's mind, or helping you're cause by being an asshole, you're wrong. Instead of sitting there beating your chest, why don't you go out and learn to become completely self-sufficient. When you've done that, hold some classes that show others how to be completely self-sufficient. Why don't you grow your own produce, and not buy the shit at the store that they have to truck in from fuckin' Brazil in the middle of winter. Stock pile everything you grow so you can be supplied year round. You can't grow tomatoes in winter? Oh well, guess what, no tomatoes in winter unless you've canned them. Make you're own breads. Why don't you raise your own meat? Chickens are the easiest. Why don't you use solar energy to not only subsidize some of your energy use, but also give yourself hot-water year round? Why don't you join a permaculture group and go out on some perma blitz's in your community? This is shit people should be doing whether they believe in MMGW or not. This isn't about money, or whether you believe in the Global Warming bullshit or not, it's about being good stewards of the world we've been given, and doing everything we can to leave it in better shape than we found it.

SOmetimes I do as well, I aint perfect

Am I off the grid, NO . But when my new home gets built we will be putting back into the grid with solar.
I also now use grey water for my yard
Do I grow my own foods. No But all my veg and fruit are delivered to my house from a group that sources local produce. Most of my other foodstuffs come from the farmers markets in my town.
this forces me to use whats in season, our winters are not that cold that storage has to be required
I also do a supermarket shop for other items

DOES THE HYPOCRITE own a computer- NO at present Im using my work PC at lunch.
I work for a company that help contribute to Global pollution, Im proud that through my position I have helped in my area to lessening our inpact. Sure you can say well Im a hypocrite for working for them but If I didnt then somebody else will and in the end me quiting wont effect their continued involvement in polluting. the industry will eventually die and I will get another job.

It just most I speak and hear from whine about having to pay more for fuel/ power etc because our governments want to put a carbon price on stuff.

Global warming is real, at least I feel that way. All the crap that we spew into the atmosphere are greenhouse gases, heat cannot escape, hence global warming. It's not too hard to figure out. I don't believe since we are being hit with an unusual amount of snow and cold weather (here in the northeast), that that disproves global warming. Yes, the earth does go through her natural climatic cycles, but I believe our behavior is having a huge effect on her.

Just my take on it, I am no scientist or al gore

its the ocean temps.
look at cyclone Yasi that just hit North Queensland. the floods before that was also caused by a cyclone that turned back into a rain depression.
The cyclones start in the coral sea
. prime water temps to start a category 5 cyclone is 29-30 degree's
at present its 31.

Thank you Polaris, at first I thought you were insulting me, lol. I feel that most people who deny global warming tend to feel that homosexuality is a choice. The crap that comes out of cars and so many other things traps heat. I don't know why anyone would deny that. You don't need to be an expert to have an opinion. Will it destroy life as we know it? I don't know that. But I know our abuse of the planet isn't a good thing.

All I am saying is that from the average person, who see's factories and trucks and cars etc.. spewing out tons of disgusting black grey smog, well it would seem logical to think that that has an effect on our atmosphere....do you agree?

...I am not often around here anymore, but I am surprised that this subject is still a point of discussion.
I remember many years ago 5-6?, I tried to make the point, that Climate change, or call it global warming is defenately man made and one of our biggest problems so far,
but somewhere in between I gave up. - I just can say again, that here this FACT is accepted and a common sense, although no politician is taking action yet.... but we are aware!!!

Anyway, thank you dear polaris X for keeping the subject on focus and for argueiing always for the truth, just like back in ol' times.
