This is old news, but new news to me. Does anyone know anything else about this? I'm looking forward to hearing it, so I hope they've been hard at work. I read somewhere else that the music should come out this year.

Ringo Starr to join Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney collaboration

Plans are afoot for three music legends to record

Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is set to join the mooted musical collaboration between his ex-bandmate Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan.

Dylan and McCartney expressed an interest in working with each other earlier this month, with the Daily Express now reporting that Starr will join them on drumming duties in California this summer when they hook up.

"The word is Ringo is likely to play drums on a couple of tracks once Paul and Bob have put some songs together," an anonymous source told the newspaper.

Starr and McCartney appeared together onstage yesterday (June 1) to promote The Beatles: Rock Band' computer game in California.

Not a big fan of Dylan. Sounds like a disaster to me

I think that Ringo should play guitar, Bob can play drums, Paul can read the news and Ron Burgundy can play jazz flute.

Has Paul done anything great lately? I mean Dylan has been pumping classic albums out here for the past thirteen years. While Together Though Life wasnt exactly classic, the three prior definately were. I know Dylan is on his game. The only Paul song I know of recently is the Vanilla Sky theme, which was good, but a while ago.

Is there anyone on here that has been keeping up with what Paul's been doing lately, or Ringo.

Paul released an album under the name "the fireman" last year. It was ok. I listened to it on rhapsody.

That's actually Paul and Youth - they recorded their first album under the name "The Fireman" in '93 I believe. I like both of them personally.

Paul has put out some good albums recently. They seem to get overlooked for some reason.

interesting....personally dylan is the only one who's still relevant in music. mccartney solo albums sound the same and are very plain..BUT maybe this will bring out the creative juices in the former beatles.
