tragic news...and then joyous news....

life IS balance.
truly sad about my suki today, but i am also so happy b/c i *just* received this e-mail from my sister:

You may or may not know that I went for genetic testing on 12/23/09 to see if I have the BRACCA 1 or BRACCA 2 gene (predisposition for breast and ovarian cancer)



I’m happy to say that both tests came back negative! Yeah! I will also be celebrating my 5 year anniversary cancer free on 2/11/09! (can you believe it?)



Best Christmas present ever. Happy New Year!!!!

definite GREAT news....both for her, and my whole family - knowing she is healthy....and yes, also for me and my other sister's health as well.

    i just saw the news about suki, i'm so sorry. but what wonderful news from your sister, congrats to her and your family! hopefully it eases some of the pain from today for you.

    Congrats I know the feeling when the same happened for my sister 2 years ago. I cared for her for 9 months when she had radiation and kemotherapy.
