My wife and I had a boy 6 months ago and we are in desperate need of a weekend alone/out/partying/whatever.

This morning I arranged to have my mother-in-law take care of him from Friday afternoon until Sunday night.

So I have like 24 hours to make plans.

What should I do for the wife?

We live about an hour drive from Philly and Baltimore.

I'm thinking an afternoon at the spa for her is in order...

WHAT ELSE???

(this is all a surprise to her)

Bucks County PA, I think 30 min from Philly is really pretty. Great B&B's, great food, good shopping for her, lol. Very peaceful....

Both cities are great and she will love the spa. Maybe some football at a nice bar if you both are fans. I would also maybe plan on staying overnight if you can

We live in Lancaster. I've only been here since March so I'm not too familiar with the area... but I have been to Philly 3 or 4 times.

Hmmm... B&B might be a good idea.

I do have PLENTY of Holiday Inn and Marriott points so I could stay for FREE in PHilly or Baltimore...

DC is always a good option in my book. Lot's of great sightseeing and some great museums (free!). Might be a bit chilly this weekend though.

Do you know her favorite dress or clothing? After the spa bring her to a hotel room, and tell her you brought her favorite dress to go out to a nice surprise restaurant.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

Near Baltimore huh? I just saw this diner place on the food network that I sooooooo wanna visit. I think it's called BLUE MOON? This is why I want to go there, CAPTAIN CRUNCH ENCRUSTED FRENCH TOAST for Breakfast :D
Yeah, I live in So Cal so I don't see myself getting there really soon.

But yeah, unless your wife is a huge breakfast fan, this idea probably won't help much.
    Have a great weekend!!

Clubs and caves are both free... just sayin'. Also, if you want to class it up a bit, you can catch and skin a couple of rabbits and then sew her a matching fur bra and panty set to wear in the aforementioned cave. Could make rabbit stew as well. All very affordable ideas.

And go to a place that you made a reservation at. It shows preparation, which she may also appreciate.
