Amazing how certain music justs goes with certain drinks...

With a little kid and hectic life, I rarely drink anymore... and even more rarely get to just listen and enjoy music without it being just played in the background.

But over the holidays with days off, I found myself doing both on a couple of occasions. On Saturday, for some unknown reason, I was in such a mood for some Creedence Clearwater Revival. I loaded a bunch of CCR in an ipod playlist and almost naturally grabbed a beer... I spent the evening in the garage, organizing christmas stuff, drinking bud light and listening to CCR... Fogerty, beer and putzing around in the garage seemed to go together perfectly.

I was off yesterday, so after my wife went to bed on Tuesday, I was on my own just watching TV... a commercial or something made me think of Van Morrison, so I put some Van on, and poured a glass of red wine... After about the 4th glass and while Tupelo Honey was playing, I once again thought how perfect the wine seemed to "fit" Van Morrison's music...

Just by playing two artists who I rarely listen to, it was just weird how they basically put the evening in motion.

All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

  • Nothing better than a good ole buzz with Pearl Jam after midnight. Pull out the iPod find your faves, and let it go. (A forgiving spouse is helpful too)

I would say that there are some artists that have a vibe. For me, it varies by brand of beer because I generally drink beer.

Bud light only fits something like Nickelback. Buy some good beer man and thank me later for the intervention.

I never, ever, ever choose Bud Light at the store, i only drink it when at a party and it's all that is available...but that is an insult to Bud Light. :D
