Sorry, I am aware this is not the correct forum but the urgency of this matter requires mass attention. Given Eddie's dedication to the Dolphins at LA4, i'm taking a little licence and hoping they and PJ fans can forgive me in the name of the Whales.

At this very moment, the Japanese whaling fleet is in ther Southern Ocean in Australia's Antarctic Territorial waters harpooning and murdering harmless whales in the name of 'research'. "Research that ends up on the dinner table. This action is illegal and Australian courts have so stated. However, the piss weak Australian Government chooses to look the other way rather than risk business interests in Japan. Peter Garrett, the environment minister and former singer and songwriter of Midnight Oil, is sitting on his hands despite public opinion. He has totally sold out on his ideals.

Yesterday, a ship in the Japanese whaling fleet deliberately rammed and sank one of the Sea Shepherd's protest ships. Sea Shepherd at this time is the only thing standing up for the whales.

This is not a racial thing. I and the majority of Aussies have nothing against the Japanese (the overwhelming majority are beautiful and gracious) people but this slaughter has to stop.

Please lobby your Governemnt, The Japanese Government and the Australian Government to end whaling forever.

This is discusting. The whalers have also been using our airports to charter planes to find the protesters.
They then inform the whalers where to avoid the protesters and carry on thier discusting acts. As it is against the law to carry on whaling in our waters surely it is against the law to assist such activities.

The fact that the protesters boat was rammed and left to sink, the whalers also ignored the protesters request for assistance. What is the maritime law for this??

Without getting into the argument of farmed animals vs hunted whales, I think there is a huge difference.

edit: I agree the overwhelming majority of japanese are decent folk, but these whalers piss me the fuck off. I just remember the stories of how the Japanese were my grandfathers enemy in WWII and how heartless the culture was back then.
