with the recent death of a heir to the Johnson and Johnson fortune, its interesting to note how completely different some of these folks are from us, and from each other.

Casey, seems like a Paris Hilton type person. A person, only famous for partying, and being the offspring of what amounts essentially to American royalty. This is a type of person who flaunts their wealth.

On the other spectrum you have Jamie Johnson a distant relative of Casey, but an heir to the Johnson and Johnson fortune nonetheless. Jamie has spent most of his young life, essentially trying to expose the lies of capitalism and the myth of a meritocracy. His 2 documentaries, Born Rich and The One Percent remain two of the best documentaries ever filmed on the wealthy in the United States. It seems quite likely in all honesty, he will be written out of any will that would have given him the kind of money most of us only dream of. And the sole reason is the fact he has made 2 films that call into question the idea that his family even deserves that kind of money.

Heirs to these massive fortunes always seem wierd to me. One of the most famous, is the granddaughter of Warren Buffet, one of the wealthiest men in the world. Anyways, she appeared in Jamies documentary, and for that sole reason Warren wrote her out of his will, and refuses to talk to her. The kicker is that she is an artist, a hippie, she has dreadlocks, and her apartment is filled with her paintings. Yet when asked if she could live her life, without the financial backing of her grandfather, she replied "no"

Jamie is a hero of mine, but it remains a mystery how two people in the same family could be more different. One, casey, lives off the stature and status of her last name, and the other, Jamie, spends his life trying to educate the masses about the dangers of any family, including his, aquireing such wealth.
