The "Giving Me The Shits" Thread... AKA I'm having a whinge

I've got the shits with.......

Anything that has anything remotely to with a computer or computerised things.

With four days I've had 4 things shit themselves:

1. The ABS on my car
2. My 4 WEEK OLD LAPTOP
3. the LCD screen for the PC
4. the modem for the PC..... it's only working intermittently.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR so over it. So have purchased new LCD and new modem is on the way, the car is off to the specialist this arvo and as for the laptop. Toshiba told me I have to run a system recovery and the details are online!!!! OK so modem on Pc decides to work for a tad, and get the details. GUESS what?? friggin hard drive on laptop can't find the partition to do the recovery. So back on the phone for another freakin hour on hold waiting to get a person and they say well we have to send you recovery discs to do it now and we usually charge for them!!! :evil: LIKE HELL, IT'S FOUR WEEKS OLD...so they agree to send them FOC..oh but that will be another 3-5 days till I get them....why can't they just send someone to collect it and fix the bastard?


The god of computerised inanimate objects hates me this week. Last time I had a run like this it was the mobile phone, yet another LCD screen (with the assistance of a 3yo with a cleaning urge), a dvd player, tv remote went swimming (again with the assistance of the then 3yo cleaner)....and to top it off the dog died!!

C'mon do ya best GOCIO, can ya bend me over any further???!!!

I've noticed a ridiculous amount of Windows 7 brand new PCs going to shit...Windows 7 can't be THAT bad can it??

Had no probs at all with windows 7. Just went to use it the weekend and hadn't used it for 2 days, and it wouldn't load just came up the disk read error ctrl alt del to restart and just kept going. freaking vista on the pc freezes quite frequently, but still keeps plugging away. bahhhhhhhhh I always get fuck ups in clusters, maybe I should get someone else to buy my electricals, then maybe they won't shit themselves!!

I said to one of my american board friends that something "gave me the shits" and he thought I got diarrhea! He'd never heard that term before.

Today, the giving me the shits award goes to......the newsagent who I am supposed to order my sons school book pack from having a spaz when I want order it, saying it was supposed to be done last month. ERRR cockhead read your own form...it says bookpacks will available for order from early december until EASTER...it's january not friggin march april last I'm checked...so I told them to shove ther book order and I'll give my money to a shop more worthy of recieving my hard earned dollars...and one that has POLITE staff.

Then dvd I ordered off ebay arrived....case is all smashed, dvd is ok...but for f$%ks sake why don't these people send them in a padded bag?? :evil: :evil: today just keeps getting better
