Computer issues...

So I recently built my own PC about a week ago, just a few glitches, don't know if it's Windows 7 issue or what....
Reoccurring issues:
Sometimes I get no sound after sleep mode or when I restart
Computer freezes
When playing music through media player computer freezes
Sometimes when it goes to screensaver it freezes there and cannot get to the normal screen so I got to restart
Does anyone have any idea why?
Is it driver issues (re-installed my sound card driver) btw.
Would like to resolve these issues soon it's driving me mad.

So it's hard to tell.
I've read it could be a BIOS issue, file dumping issue, registry issue.
Arrrrrrrghhh!
When you mean 'freeze' does everything just freeze and you have to restart?
re-seat and/or rearrange the ram

Everything, can't move the mouse or type. So I restart.
Soundcard is Creative Soundblaster X-Fi.
I installed each CD for each piece of hardware.
I updated the video driver online.
Lets see what that does.
I called the store I purchased the parts and they say it could be RAM, Motherboard, or PSU.
Told me to try take out the RAM and re-seat it.
I did this for both of my RAM sticks and they passed the test.
When I put both in the test won't run, looks like the 2nd RAM slot on the motherboard is faulty.
Atm I am running on only 1 RAM stick (2gig on Windows 7).
I shall see if I get any more freeze if not then I will need to get the motherboard replaced.
Sigh, that means building the PC again and reinstalling everything. :(

But, then again, I'm a guy who just likes things that work.
