Knucklehead friends......STRIKE AGAIN!!!!!!!

5 days ago I hear how their 18yr. old son is going for a great job interview.....How he is going to make $18 an hour.....In sales.....

This kid passed high school with straght D's.......
This kid has spent the last 6 months lying around smoking dope......
This kid has never ever shown me any common sense whatsoever.......

Dont get me wrong, I realize he is only 18 yrs. old, and most 18 yr. olds are knuckleheads.......

Anyway.....If this job was so GOOD, why arent their parents going for the interview????
There are 10,000,000 people out of work, yet this kid, with no experience and the I.Q. of a grapefruit, is going to get a job making $40,000 a year????

His parents must think I am a complete fool to believe this nonsense......


Well.....The 18yr. old kid just called my house....

He wants to know if he can come over to my house on Tuesday...
Because he is selling cutlery....Door to Door....

    unless this kid's parents have a shitload of friends, it doesn't sound like he'll be making 18 bucks an hour...a week maybe, but not an hour

    I knew a girl who got suckered into work for a company selling vaccume cleaners door-door....KIrby!!! SHe never got paid for 4 weeks of work and said it was the worst four weeks of her entire life!!

    These horrid companies suck in the young and naive (sometimes just dumb too)....amazing that his parents can't see through the tripe! :roll:

    Those jobs are a scam. Almost like the pyramid schemes. I went on an interview once and walked out during the middle of it. I think I was supposed to buy my own supplies. And most people who say they are making a certain amount per hour/per year are probably lying about it. Most people who earn good $$ don't talk about finances

    seems he would be better off getting an education, learning a trade, if at all possible.

    he's got his whole life ahead of him to sell crappy knives.

    though it does sound like he's got his sales pitch perfected.

    When my daughter was in 12th grade, her friend did the same kind of thing. She worked for some place that comes and dries out damp basements. She called and said she just needed to make so many calls and I don't need to buy. Yep, and she wasn't blond!

    One time there was a job recruiting thing at my school for some job down the street that they didn't really say what the job was.

    I was looking for some extra money for the pj tour that year so i figured I'd check it out.. it was knives sales and i had to sit through an hour presentation and they wouldn't let me leave and then they tried to hire me right away... I lied and said I'd get back to them.

    But they pay 17/hour plus commission...
