Live For Today performed by REM?

"Live for Today" from the 97 single, Is that performed by REM? Also I did a little research and it seems that REM released the "Live for Today" for their fan's club in 1997 with Pearl Jam perfoming the song? Do I have this correct. Thanks a million.
