Fellow PJ fans I need your help. I'm trying to get the word out that Winnipeg MB, CANADA (hometown of Neil Young!) is begging for a show this year. If you could take 30 sec (it honestly takes less than that) to sign this petition I'd be so grateful!! http://eventful.com/performers/pearl-ja ... 8-3/demand
If your city has one, I'd be happy to sign it too! (KISS used this website for a contest where fans would decide where they should play. Winnipeg got 13,000 sigs, and a show of course. So I thought what better way to get the word out than with this petition and the PJ forum of course.)

I'm dying to see my first Pearl Jam show. They haven't played here since '05 and before that it was '93. Unfortunately I didn't attend the '05 show but I have the bootleg on my iPod and listen to it alll the time. Sounds like it was a magical show. PJ was the first band to sell out our new arena. There's also a Facebook group that's based on this petition too. Join if you wish! An e-mail was sent to Kevin Donnelly (the man who books the events) of the MTS Centre asking what the chances were of them playing here in Winnipeg this year and he replied that he's hitting a wall with the band's promoters and needs fans to get on message boards, blogs, etc to get the message that WE WANT A SHOW!!!

    There you go dude, I have signed your petition. Europe has had alot of PJ and we are getting more this year so I can share the love. They are the greatest live band ever so I hope you get to see them

    Not much interest here it looks... I guess people don't realize if they play here they will also play many other cities (I know, I know a petition won't make them tour, but hey, it won't hurt to try).

    Winnipeg 2005 was one of my favorite shows ever! I'd sure love to visit again. :)

    Never say never, Quebec has alot of talks of getting the Nordiques back, Winnipeg already have the arena...is it only 16000 though ?? That wouldnt be enough.

    My first show was on that tour in Ottawa, awsome show also and great response from a usually mellow crowd. Being a big fan of Neil, I enjoyed the covers. I've seen them 4 times since, you really gotta plan a trip and get out to see them if they don't come to you, my advise.

    Peg '05 was an amazing show. Not just cause I live here, it really was good. It almost felt like Neil Young was actually there and was going to join them for a few. Maybe next time!!!

    The arena is too small. They would sell it out the first couple of years then it would go back to the way it was.

    I have heard the same about Ottawa crowds usually being subdued, but that wasn't the case for that show, and pretty much every other PJ show in Canada that year.

    if people think they aren't going to announce ANY NA dates this year, it's doubtful they'd play the Peg! I'd love it if they did!

    Done. Perhaps you could sign this for the Minneapolis-St. Paul area as well? Its not too far for either of us if they come to one of those two places.
