what were your best moments of the year, mates?

here's mine:

- Faith no More in Moscow! completely badass concert
- Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup, Malkin - playoffs MVP
- Russia won the hockey world champ. again
- Backspacer 8-)
- Played hockey a lot before injury (yeah it was a hockey year))
- Arshavin scores 4 goals against Liverpool at Anfield
- Extreme surfing, almost drowned :lol:
- First diving expirience

    I got too many to mention, but here's a few:

    - seeing Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band for the first time
    - seeing Paul McCartney and Neil Young on the same stage
    - Backspacer and PJ live
    - PS3 and Beatles Rock Band
    - going to London for the 2nd time

    off the top of my head...

    -we rescued our dog, Sam & we're so glad we did!
    -a great year with my amazing wife
    -ACL...sprained ankle & all...it was awesome!
    -seeing PEARL JAM at ACL after not seeing them since 2004!
    -dean's list! it was a tough year in school & this meant so much to me.
    -music collaboration w/ Chris (2-feign-reluctance)...mixing/recording/writing/submitting songs to copyright office/iTunes for an album. wow.
    -our niece being born
    -tons of great records released this year
    -dancing with my wife at midnight to our wedding song

    1. The birth of my son (February) and all of the memories associated with him (first word, etc.)
    2. My job search (The "Ever Perpetual" as I've dubbed it)


    ...beyond that, it's been rather uneventful. None of my sports teams did anything to warrant any good memories...mostly those I would rather forget.

    - My amazing PJ vacations to Tennessee, Toronto, Chicago, and Philly with all my old friends and the new ones I met along the way.
    - Scoring 2nd row tickets in Nashville II and Memphis, sitting with my elbows on the stage during Hard Sun in Nashville II and meeting Ed after Memphis.
    - The MN Twins pulling it out in game 163... I went to all the games that weekend, "closing" the Metrodome was such a trip with all the old Twins players...
    - My first trip to Wrigley Field for a Twins/Cubs game with my dad. Twins won, Joe Mauer hit a homerun, and it was pretty much the most perfect day ever.
    - Graduating college
    - All of my trials and tribulations involving grad school... it's been a humbling year as I reevaluate where my life is going in the near future.

    Tailgating with a cool philly pj fan before philly 4 was the highlight of the year for me. Him and his crew were nothing but standup and cool. he had some badass ribs and chicken legs. I think I'm still tasting those ribs

    Meeting a certain someone during soundcheck at philly 4 ;):)

    Seeing bruce springsteen 2 times this year

    Seeing pearl jam 3 times this year

    Seeing the tragically hip for the first time ever. It was cool being front row with a fellow new yawk pj fan.

    The best memory was July 4th weekend. I have 4 siblings, and it was the first time in 4 years when we were all together. I felt a sense of belonging I don't feel at any other time. My brother called it family, but I called it belonging. Imagine a family belonging like an ornament or a quilt, and you get the idea :D

    Meeting Eddie Vedder before his show in Albany just to shake his hand and say thanks was definitely memorable. As was that show. Got to meet some cool PJ folk there who I also met in Philly, and wow, that was the best time I had all year... those 3 amazing shows there, and staying in the city for 4 nights. Mountain Jam - 3 nights of camping and music in NY state - was a close 2nd. It's just been great to travel and meet people and make friends all across the country and across the world, and it's whom that so many great memories have been made. Music, friends and fun. Yep, pretty simple... even though it's not. :)

    All the drinking that went on at the Radisson in Philly
    Hanging out in the Presidential suite at the Radisson
    Great drinking at McFaddens (and getting kicked out :lol: )
    Getting a seat on the touring van
    Getting locked in the after work drinks pub's toilet :oops:

    Sister-In-Law got out of prison after 18 years.
    Son got put in jail for 5 years.
    Daughter got arrested twice.
    My asshole thiefing, drug adddict, neighbor couple finally went to jail.
    I caught the goody goody two shoes other neighbor robbing the 91 year old lady next to me on 2 occasions.
    Lady on other side, had a couple heaart attacks.
    My mom lost her mind, its worse than dementia, sometimes she doesn't know she has a name.
    An enemy of mine told my daughter I was using heroin and she believed them!! Lots of problems now.
    Adopted daughter stole $14,000 from my parents.
    My good friend is drinking herself to death. Has seizures when she drinks. Drinks 24 beers a day or more.
    My bf is pissing me off right now, though I am grateful for him.
    Sucks, eh? ;)

    Have my cats, A Maine Coon, A Calico, A Silver tabby.
    Have season tix to Lions. (Yes, I am happy with them)
    Have heat. Its 10 degrees and 5 below with the wind chill.
    Love my little Jared. He's my little buddy. I love Jenna too. She a cutie!
    I have a college degree in social work.
    Nice clothes. I made my smallest bedroom into a walk-in closet.
