What happens? Does he get kicked out of the NBA? Pulling a gun on a teammate in the locker room can't be tolerated. If I were David Stern, he would be kicked out of the NBA for good. Its ashame, he always seemed like a decent, fun loving guy.

I know this won't get too many responses but NBA fans, whats your opinion?

I've always liked Gilbret but this is one of the most ridiculous stories I've ever see. Why the fuck do 2 nba players have guns in the locker room for starters. Secondly, why would they ever think that it was a good to draw them on each other? And over a gambling debt when Gilbert is a millionaire many times over??? Stern has to come down hard on them.
  • Throw them both out of the league.....Period!!!

Wow. I haven't heard this. Here In Aust we only get a couple of NBA matches per week, and I'm just getting into it.

He seemed a pretty decent player. Just a shame really. If true, he's gotta be banned

Yeah, I think they have to be thrown out for good. There is absolutely no excuse for players to have guns in the locker room let alone pull them on each other.

since they love their guns so much, have them duel at center court to the death...the winner then gets pummeled with rocks by the fans

I bet Stern pussy's out on this one the only way to stop the thug attitude of the NBA is to just kick both players out of the league but i believe he won't ,and you can bet on it these two fools aren't the only one's carrying guns .....I can't watch the NBA at all ...

I honestly dont think they will be kicked out either but they sure as hell should be. I am pretty sure I would be fired and arrested if I brought a gun to work and pulled it on a coworker.

Definitely not the only guys carrying guns.

there was a report on real sports on hbo a few months back about the recent attacks on nfl players and how some players are now carrying guns for protection...if this is why he and the other guy had guns in their lockers, arenas is making 16 million bucks a year, couldn't he just hire a bodyguard that is licensed and trained to carry a gun instead of carrying one himself?

oh that's right, that would be the smart thing to do

professional athletes seem to be exempt from the law,
whether it's weapons, drugs, DUI's or spousal abuse.

    this is nothing new.
    Nice shirt.

I would have liked to see that segment. I remember reading how Steve Smith of the Giants was followed home and robbed a couple weeks before Plax shot himself and he said that was part of the reason he was carrying a gun. Hiring a bodyguard would be the smart thing to do, or just dont put yourself in an iffy situation.

I heard it was Arenas that pulled the gun. He had 3 in his locker that he brought from, b/c he had children in the house. How bout gettin a gun safe ya stupid fuck?

Kick em outta the league. Find out who else is bringin guns and suspend the hell outta them. There'd be people in almost every organization willing to cooperate.

I think he/they'll be suspended for a year solid.
