WOW! Happy new year Soundgarden are coming back!!!! Oh my god thought I would never see this happen.
Posted on Chris Cornell's Facebook. Anyone know more details? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :D:lol: :thumbup:

    i hope this is a good thing...I don't know after cornells solo attempts....and will they use Matt cameron as their drummer. I would be much more excited about a U.S. tour for Pearl Jam but this is great news

    I saw Chris a couple years ago solo. The man still has it.

    Great news!!!
    I saw Chris Cornell just last year and he played early Soundgarden songs and pulled them off really really well!
    We all know that Matt still has it!
    Now lets see if Kim and Ben can dust themselves off and rock the world off their asses once again.
    I can't wait to see the best grunge band live!!!

    Only thing bad about this is the potential to lose one of the best band mates. we were all very lucky to have matt. (don't get me wrong, I loved Jack too.)

    Same... when I found out on facebook right after the ball dropped I didnt give a SHIT about the new years. I was SOOOOOO happy.

    I'm hoping for some UK festival dates as I've been quite lucky this year with being able to attend a few.

    Has there been any news as to how it's gonna work with Matt as I've looked all over but can't find anything? Are Soundgarden doing their thing after the Pearl Jam tour? Have they found a different drummer? Have Pearl Jam found a different drummer? It would be a shame if PJ lose Matt because I can see the Soundgarden reunion being pretty long term. It's gonna be sweet to have Soundgarden back though especially after the fantastic Alice In Chains return last year :D

    It just struck me that I've actually been listening to Soundgarden for sixteen years now, yet they were only together for about four of those years. I only saw them live once at the Reading Festival in '95, not their best show by all accounts, I remember they looked pretty miserable up there. I think Cornell has become a much more engaging frontman since they broke up, so it will be interesting to see what he brings to the live shows. I've just got my fingers crossed they will do some UK dates. A new album would be really cool too, it's about time Cornell embraced his dark side again!

    I was at Reading that year too :) Also saw them at Brixton I think that year and was a bit underwhelmed, they were my favourite band at the time...I remember seeing Audioslave and thinking "Wow when did Cornell become this great frontman"

    Soundgarden reuniting could be the best news of 2010 :D

    Yeah, I saw him back in '07 in a tiny venue in Paris and it was phenomenal. I was supposed to see him twice since then but he cancelled because of his Timbaland collaboration :x

    Anyway, if his current form is anything to go by, this Soundgarden reunion is very good news indeed.
