Songs you have to listen to when you hear...

We all have movies, and songs that everytime we see/hear them we've just gotta finish watching them. Well let's hear what songs you just have to sit through and jam out to when you hear them on the radio, iTunes shuffle, or whatever the hell you've got that plays music.

Mine:

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - "Blinded By The Light"
Queen - "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter"

all I can really think of right now....I'm actually listening to "Blinded By The Light" and I'm loving it! The breakdown and solo in the middle of the song is one of the coolest pieces of music I've ever heard. Such a smooth, spacey guitar.

They did it better than Bruce Springsteen. Sorry Boss fans.
7/2/06 - Denver, CO
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2

i always go fucking crazy when man in the box comes on for some reason. that's such a great driving song. nightrain is great too. same with november hotel. actually, make that every gnr song that is heard on the radio. especially patience. who can forget paradise by the dashboard light. and of course, alive.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

The only one I can think of right now is Maggot Brain. I love this song but its damn long and it always seems to come up as I'm pulling into my driveway. I just sit in my car and jam out till its over.
  • Some things that come immediately to mind:

"I Stay Away" by AIC - I can never walk away from this song.
"Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups... I recently got into this band, and I wasn't crazy about them until I heard this song. I heard it for the first time as I pulled into the parking lot at the grocery store, and I sat in the car for the entire duration of the song because I had to hear the whole thing.
"Soul to Squeeze" by RHCP, of course.
"Higher Ground" by RHCP, mostly because the end, where they rock out crazy hard, is my favorite part of the song.
And when I listen to Interpol's album "Turn On the Bright Lights," I have to listen to the entire album from beginning to end.
And I definitely can't turn off PJ's Corduroy because its my fave :)

That's all I can think of for now.
You will be no one's rival....

You live in Houston, right? What station would that be?? We only have garbage rock stations. It's quite pathetic how bad they are.

Yup I'm in Houston but I don't listen to the radio at all. That would be when my ipod is on shuffle. I actually stopped listening to the radio when 101 went off the air. I think Houston radio stations could be some of the worst in the country.
