I read that its a double disc and the whole second disc is him telling stories and jokes?
I READ that in Playboy.
disc 2, tom tales, is 36 minutes of stage banter. not as funny as nighthawks but well worth a listen. and disc one is excellent. sounds completely different than his other live album big time. on almost every song, glitter and doom has him using that booming voice/tone he only uses on big time's train song and falling down.
Am I the only one whose favourites are Blue Valentine and Small Change?
completely agree on small change. blue valentine has some of tom's highest highs, xmas card, kentucky avenue, romeo is bleeding... but sweet little bullet and whistlin past the graveyard always ruin it for me.
