Becoming a big fan of the post-rock genre...

I bought This Will Destroy You's EP Young Mountain. Great stuff! Provided for a great soundtrack all weekend.

If you haven't heard of this band, check them out. :D

Great band. Certainly not my favorite in the genre though.

Gotta love their Self Titled album for the cover art alone though!
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

Oh yeah, love this band, love all post/ambient/math rock..

Saw em a few weeks back, was a nice show, got myself a shirt which is like this brown shirt with a giant gold what seem like a polar bear with a little house on it.. not something i'd usually opt for but had to support them!

That's the cover for Young Mountain, although the colors are different. I'd love to see this band live. Saw Mogwai live and that was incredible...since then I've been heavily indulging in this genre.

The whole scene is amazing, i think http://www.last.fm is totally amazing, found so so so so many bands from that scene.

Lucky bastard though, still got to see Mogwai.

Well, we're envious of each other then. ;) Mogwai was amazing though...loud as all hell. Precise playing. They don't talk much, but when one of them did he had a VERY thick Scottish accent. The thing I love about the instrumental groups is I find it to be more of a collaboration of artists and it's a new take on a band as opposed to the whole lead singer, and then those other guys...

oh man it is bliss.....just be ready to get your eardrums melted it is loud and beautiful! I suggest earplugs just in case, cuz man they bombard your face with decibels!

you will not be disappointed with anything other than the set won't be long enough!

I happily left the Mogwai show I attended with my ears ringing, so I'll be prepared. :D
