Trans-Siberian Orchestra....

I cant believe I spent $240, and dragged Kathys parents to this......

What a waste of fucking money...

Lights
Lasers
Fire
More lights and lasers.....

And I was never so fucking bored in my life......

Just fucking ridiculous........
Take me piece by piece.....

    It was just silly....

    45 minutes into the show.....
I couldnt wait for it to be over.....

Then after an hour and a half.....They introduce all the members of the band an announce..."We hope you enjoyed the 1st half of the show"

I couldnt believe there was still over an hour of this crap I had to sit through....

The kid sitting next to me fell asleep....
They guy sitting behind me was actually snoring....
People around me were gathering up there jackets, belongings, and leaving at the halfway point.....
EVERYONE around us was looking at there cellphones every 10-15 seconds.....Hoping time would go by faster....

    It was as if...
They really didnt know what they wanted to do for 3 hours.....If that makes sense....

    Are we an Orchestra???
Are we a heavy metal band???
Are we trying to impersonate Meatloaf???
Are we performing a broadway play???
    Are we performing an opera????

The 1st half of the show(The Christmas half) that was narrated.....By some guy who sounded like Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, and Darth Vader all rolled into one.......

Could have been a whole lot better had they just concentrated on the music....
JUST PLAY THE FUCKING CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!!!

Then for a couple of songs you thought you were at a Meatloaf concert.......

Then they play some classical Mozart and Beethoven.....But by the time that rolls around, you were ready to fucking leave an hour earlier.......

And they still look like they are in an 80's hair band.....But now they put on tuxedo coats instead of spandex....

sounds like they almost tried to do too much, cover too much.

i was mistakenly under the impression their shows were...concerts,
not something based around a narrative or a melodrama. it almost sounds like a passion play.

sounds very scattered and very disjointed.

the Christmas songs they perform always blow me away,
but apparently those are the highlights, and are few and far between.

and if people were leaving midway through, it must have been bad.
    Nice shirt.

they came through SLC last year and Jeff Scott Soto was one of the lead vocalists. My son went and saw the show with his high school guitar class and they enjoyed it. Hey they are in high school...

Last time I saw Jeff Scott Soto was in the late 80's when he was the lead singer for Yngwie Malmsteen. Still have that concert T. Wow that was a time and scene well forgotten. Puts me right into the Fans Over 40 thread.

Never seen 'em. Never want to. Christmas music and metal? I realize that metal usually seeps it's way into mostly any kind of musical genre...but do we seriously need to mesh metal and Christmas music?

Speedy, I applaud you for enduring the show.

Some of the most un-musical people I ever met thought this was fabulous--so-- I never went to see it.

What made it so awful? :geek:
