If anyone doesn't know Vic's music- check it out. Losing him is tragic... My heart just aches knowing he's gone...............

I'm not a victim...
I am intelligent..

  • I got to see him open for Evan Dando some years back and he put on a great show. Very sad ending for a guy that seemed doomed to suffer this fate way too early.
  • I've only heard a couple of his songs. I remember a little publicity about him in the early 90s when Sweet Relief II was made for his benefit. He was obviously well-respected by the "Alternative" music community. I remember Ed Kowalzcyk of Live covering Vic's song Supernatural (on a session of MTV's Unplugged, probably?) and saying, "This is absolutely the most beautiful song ever written by a human being."
"May you live in interesting times."
  • Wow. I saw your thread and just now checked him out. How have I missed this guy? His style reminds me of Mark Lanegan.

Sucks that it took his death for me to discover him, but I think I have some catching up to do...

So glad you checked it out- he has a bunch of great albums, but I'd recommend starting with his first one, LITTLE
