Frank Zappa connection
I just received an early Xmas present to myself... the new release of Frank Zappa live in Philly from Halloween 1976(Spectrum). Can't wait to listen to it. Anyway, in the liner notes it states:
"Honorary Mummer Service Award to Pearl Jam, Halloween, 2009"
Awesome, cool to see that the Zappa organization/family recognized PJ's closing down of the Spectrum.
Which leads me to a thread I almost started after the Philly shows. Did anyone else notice Ed wearing his RENTAL shirt during one of his shows? I was at all four and it might have been on the 30th. FZ used to wear the same shirt occasionally in concert during the 70's. Hmmm. Maybe EV was wearing it to pay homage to Zappa for playing the Spectrum on Halloween night 33 years ago.
