Looks good. I guess this is the time of the year where Hollywood releases potential "awards" movies....and Clooney is the man....and I think I spotted "RED" in the promos for this one

I saw it last night. It was good. It didn't blow me away or anything but a decent fun film nonetheless. George did a great job. Plot was pretty decent and the acting was good.

did the old thread get locked because one person called someone a douche bag? seriously? you lock a thread for that? what an absolute joke this board is at times...

anyway, i just saw this movie and loved it. very, very poignant. and very real. i think it will hit home to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. as someone who has been laid off before, this certainly rang true for me. great movie. great time for it.

saw it today, it was interesting watching all the trips through the airport. Clooney's character, who goes around telling people they've been let go of a company is very unlikeable but it is played well. The length of roughly 1:45 is just right and the dynamic between the main characters is good.

only thing i didn't quite like was the whole concept of clooney's company actually considering firing people over the internet. that's a little far fetched. we're a good 10-20 years away from something as impersonal as that. but it helped push the plot along though...

it was okay...i'm not one for movies like that; you know the guy who doesn't understand life and relationships and then tries to change. for what it was, i liked it though.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Clooney's character at the start is very unlikeable due to the nature of his job, but as it goes on, you kind of feel for him for not knowing the normalcy of daily life at home with a family and friends.

but unlike a lot of those movies, this one did not have a stereotypical ending...which made it work for me.
