Tribute bands suck

    Alot of people may say tribute bands suck but you know what? Its always alot of fun to just go hang out and have a good time! ANNNNND, if Pearl Jam cant perform at your birthday gathering.......thank god for PEARL JAM TRIBUTE BANDS LIKE DIRTY FRANK!!!!!! :D Not only do they do a good job but all of the guys are chilled out cool people.

    Personally, I would feel gross and dirty if I had a PJ cover/tribute band play at my birthday party.

    i disagree im in a pearl jam tribute (backseat lover) and a lot of what everyone is saying is that people who cant make their own music go with tributing to other bands. completely false it just so happens we enjoy what we are doing and we enjoy seeing people have a great night in town and if we can add to the effect than great! all in all we dont do this cause we cant make our own music we do this cause we enjoy pearl jams music and playing it

    Did it occur to anyone that these guys in "tribute" bands just LIKE playing music? Perhaps they have other jobs, or day jobs and want to do this for fun? I went to Huntington on Saturday night and had fun listening to some Pearl Jam...the guys looked like they were having fun on stage, the crowd seemed happy...what more do you want? We can't see PJ every day, month or year, so why not enjoy what we DO have?
    Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

    If a bunch of people want to play Pearl Jam music... and NOTHING but Pearl Jam music?

    Ive never understood what people like about cover bands, not for me unless its at a wedding
    good cover bands can be fun, but I wont be running out specifically to see one

    Pearl Jam Tribute Bands from which I am a part of one...

    We play the Pearl Jam music you love at local places you like to go to, you get in for cheap, drink, sing, yell out songs, dance...if you play an instrument sometimes you even get to sit in!
    So...everyone who hates Pearl Jam tribute bands...don't come...its cool...but no need to say we suck....
    Did you ever go to a Kareoke bar and go "Man, I sure wish that guy was singing some of his original music!" No...you want to have fun and enjoy some great music that you know and love.

    I've got no problem with tribute bands. They're a fine substitute when bands aren't touring or aren't coming close enough to go.

    I saw Dirty Frank and they were good. I would go again. :)

    Im sorry to hear that, friend. Im all about enjoying myself and ALWAYS having a good time! Everyone just takes this tribute thing way too seriously. I've seen several Pearl Jam tribute bands and they all ENJOY THEMSELVES. Nothing more nothing less.
