the ultimate Christmas present

What more could you want than getting your son back?

This is the best Christmas present ever. I’ve been following this story for quite a while now and have been infuriated that the Brazilian courts continually denied this man the right to take his son home.

Apparently now it is over. Thank God.

In short, the boy’s mother took the boy to Brazil five years ago and never came back to New Jersey. She divorced her husband (not recognized by US courts) in Brazil, married another man. David Goldman has been fighting for 5 years to get his son back.

The mother died delivering a baby girl last year and her Brazilian husband has continued to contest returning the boy to his father. And the courts in Brazil have continually allowed him to win the appeals. It has been extremely frustrating.

Finally, the supreme court in Brazil ruled that they must return the boy to his father. And the family has decided they will no longer appeal.

Now Sean’s coming home. God bless the persistency of his father.

What a horrible thing for the little boy to have to go through. The only family he really knows is going to be gone on top of his mother dying. Of course he should be sent home but it just sucks from his side. Too bad the mother died. She deserves some SERIOUS punishment.
bugs in the way...I feel about you
