    For my Jennifer:

A cutlery set (good quality too)
A bottle of her favorite wine
    a food processor
    candles, chocolate
    body lotions, and creams
    perfume
socks and some Vicky's Secret goodies 8-)

Oh my.... 'useful' kitchen gifts.... I would never forgive my husband for that - whatever the other presents are! I need a new hand mixer and new kitchen scales..... will get them in the sales! Never a x-mas prezzie!

I do all the cooking at home and would love for my wife to get me new kitchen stuff. Seriously? What is it about kitchen stuff that people get upset when getting it for Christmas gifts?

I wonder the same thing. I would LOVE to get a new mixer or actually I think i asked for a rice cooker! I don't get the opposition to those kinds of gifts. Is it a feminist thing?

And for the guy that hates his girlfriend's pjs....what kind are they? Why so horrid? Just curious after reading that. I think the bonfire is a cool idea!

Nope... not a feminist thing.... I love cooking, I love kitchen gadgets, etc. To me, those things are just not 'personal' gifts. For Christmas (or birthdays...) I like gifts that are personal, not 'useful', but to indulge, etc. A hand held mixer, a vacuum cleaner, etc. just don't make the mark. I know I'm getting a new set of pots and pans from my inlaws. I know they paid good money for it. I know I will thank them profusely for their gift, but..... And I love cooking, spend a lot of time in the kitchen but those kind of things, I buy myself.

    But maybe that's just me.....

Fire and Christmas trees don't mix. (Sorry, as a Firefighter I had to give that warning.)

We don't give each other gifts at Christmas.
We give each other gifts all year long.
Not thinking jewelery or anything like that. Just helpful, thoughtful, appreciated gestures, praise and touch.

Yes, there are many a stupid person that will do very bad things with fire. But, if this guy does it right, it might be a very memorable christmas!

Me too as a female....Giving me appliances to better serve the house, just smacks of
" get back in the kitchen bish".
I would love PJ's, chocks, perfume, cheap jewelry, socks....anything personal.
I haven't recieved a gift for f@#Ken years, so if he EVER gives me a kitchen appliance......he will end up a christmas statistic.
To you blokes buying your ladies gifts.....no matter how small it is, just put some thought and love into it.

I got gold earrings and The Big Lebowski dvd......and I was more excited about my $8 dvd than my earrings! :D

I really didn't want anything (and unlike other girls, when I say that I mean it haha)-- I just spent $3,000 in Nov/Dec doing 4 PJ concerts in Australia and New Zealand for 2 weeks so I'm a very happy and satisfied girl! 8-) The earrings were a pleasant little surprise though!
