2010 European Tour support?

Any ideas as to who may be supporting them on this tour? I've had a look around and can't really see any possibilities at the moment, although I see My Morning Jacket are playing with them at New Orleans Jazz Fest so they're possibility, if not for Europe for the US. I'm hoping it's a good one as I've not been too lucky with great supports before. Also does anyone know if Pearl Jam have much of an influence with the Hyde Park line up? It'd be great to see a day of Pearl Jam based bands.
My PJ shows:
London 28/10/96, Las Vegas 11/7/98, London 29/5/00, Nurnburg 11/6/00, Prague 14/6/00, Salzburg 18/6/00, Verona 20/6/00, Milan 22/6/00, Zurich 23/6/00, New York 8-9/7/03, Boston 11/7/03, Reading Festival 27/8/06, Shepards Bush 11/8/09, Berlin 15/8/09, Manchester 17/8/09, London 18/8/09, Dublin 22/6/10, Belfast 23/6/10, London (HRC) 25/6/10, Alpine Valley (PJ20) 3-4/9/11, Manchester 20-21/6/12, Leeds 8/7/14, Milton Keynes 11/7/14 To be continued....

    no definatly no influence.

just as long as it isn't MMJ, Gomez or Fleet Floxes or some other boringbass band like them then its okay.

Seeing it's mostly (all?) festivals, don't think 'European Tour Support' is an issue here.

Well it is for me and I'm sure PJ will want to bring a ban out to play that they like/respect. They're still doing 3 (4 if Udine, Italy is happening) headline shows and the last Euro tour was only 5 shows and they brought out Gomez for that. Yeah hopefully they don't bring back Gomez or Fleet Foxes (the later were painfull boring at HRC last year!), MMJ are okay. I see Idlewild are touring again, can't remember when or perhaps Supergrass but reckon it'll be someone quite local (UK) unless there's a band like MMJ doing the festival rounds which there's bound to be. Ben Harper & Relentless 7 would also be good.

Gomez is cool, really like them :) If I could choose one band to support in Dublin and Belfast, it would be the Shins, but it will probably be some local band.

They were okay but Alice In Chains would be awesome, they were suprisingly amazing at Brixton.

Okay perhaps that's the wrong words, I suppose exceeded all my expectations with Layne not being there and all, I wasn't sure how I felt about a new singer.

I'd love to see Supergrass or Wolfmother as supporting acts!

Wolfmother just added to London hard Rock calling line-up on Pearl Jam's day.

Does this mean Wolfmother as support on any of the Pearl Jam dates? Maybe

I wouldn't mind that at all. Heard they are great live.
Plus, Ed likes to sing "minds eye" with them!

Not bad, I don't mind a bit of wolfmother although I only know their first album. I've not heard great things about their second though and the whole sacking or whatever of the original members puts me off a bit. Still probably the best support I wouldve seen with PJ and they were good when I saw them at the great escape festival when I was livingbin Sydney.

I see Crowded House are playing the Isle of Wight festival on Saturday 12th June, it'd be pretty cool if they were playing Hyde Park too with the history they've shared together. I can see them playing Glastonbury too, guess we'll have to wait and see!

He managed to get a support slot in 2006, so all bets are off for this tour.

I say it everytime this topic comes up - it should be Me First & The Gimme Gimmes

no chance as they're doing 3 shows in London early June (and I'm doing them all :P ).

but looks like Relentless7 all the way. I don't mind though AIC would have been awesome... just hope Ben mixes it a bit more than last year.
