With that new album smell no longer in the room, I have to say that this album is genius. Perhaps the thing that's most impressive is that this is an album that can be listened to while contemplating the world on a bad day and it can also be listened with the sunroof open in the car on a beautiful sunny day. The songs have great staying power and lyrics that say different things to me on different days.
Speed of Sound really just took hold of me (OK, the first 20 seconds of the song I still don't love, but after that it's an amazing tune). I've always liked The Fixer, but seeing the live energy of the song in Philly has elevated that song to another level.
Anyway, thanks to the band for making an amazing album that is both familiar and innovative. Now if we could just get those Philly boots
