I have had the opportunity to see him in a very small venue a few times, now. Regardless of his musical "ventures" that he has been on as of late, his shows are top notch. Very interactive with the crowd. Grabbed my iPhone and looked at it on stage during the last show I went to. He also seems to remember individuals that are up front that have been there a few times...Sometimes he reminds them of the antics they may have pulled during his last visit to the area. If you haven't been to see him, I would definitely recommend it. I always second guess myself when going because I remind myself of the lameness he has been involved with for the last number of years, but then end up showing anyway and having a blast.
  • Must have been great! I'd be interested to hear what 2 Drink Minimum sounds like live and if he pulls it off.

Anyone know if there is a boot to be found anywhere?

so tell me he's giving up on the new disco sound.. yes?

    ha, Ha!

    not so fast Batman...

I am a huge fan and have seen every CC tour (sometimes twice) since he left audioslave (and went to the premiere tour of audioslave)...

Was blessed with the first performance of "Slaves and Buldozers" with his solo band in Boston (2005?)

I love CC, and have just about everything he's ever done on CD but that whole "Scream" phase lost me..

Its like U2, they put out a couple of good CD's and then try to run their hardcore fans out of town with some Disco music..

    That's all I'm yapping about...

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

cool, you just made it sound like he is only playing scream and doesn't go back to the 20 years + of other stuff he have done.

    this is a good site - http://chriscornell.org.uk/livereviews/ ... ec2009.htm

    yep.. know the site well..

I authored the Boston avalon 2007 review and the Bank of America Boston July 2007 review on that site..

The key to Chris's success is keeping is voice well maintained..

The mistake he made with live shows for soungarden and audioslave is he had to yell over the rest of the band...

If you have been to a U2 show, you'll notice Bono's vocals get the biggest boost from the soundbaord so he doesn't have to strain to keep up..

It seems Cornell got that when he went solo again in 2007.. here's a good clip from the bank of america show July 2007:
