Thinking of you today my brother
I miss you since youv'e passed away
I'm thankful for the time we had
I thank the lord for the opportunity to care for you in your final month of life
Even though you have left your mortal shell behind
I see and hear you in my mind often
I sense you are happy and at peace
I'm thankful for the encouragement you give me when I'm down
You make me laugh with your sarcasm
The same as when we were growing up
You looked after me and protected me as a big brother does
I know you continue to do so with your images in my mind
Along with a one line sentence telling me I can reach my goals
Or reminding me things will work out
You lived your life without fear
You gave each day all that you had
Your strength and courage will give me strength the rest of my life
I feel your presence with me each day
