hey now, there's a big ol' piece of land in between the coasts...
    :)
  • Judging by the vehemence of Kat and Ruby's replies, "no more shows scheduled", i will take that to mean that, despite rumours ... and while there may be ISOLATED dates (supporting the Who for this special, or ACL on a one off), there will be NO OTHER TOUR this YEAR ...

but expect more dates in JANUARY or so.

    That is just my guess.

I can't imagine Kat or Tim being so forceful and immediate in their replies, if they weren't trying to keep people from getting pissed off about waiting for shows that aren't going to happen this year.

    Just my thoughts, though.
    :D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • west coast is getting your tour in april....whats the confusion?

Nothing personal but I hope you're wrong.

    me too,
and i want to think there are more shows coming,
but i just don't see Kat and Ruby coming straight out and denying, DAY OF TWEET, that any further shows may be coming.

They aren't trying to LIE to you,
so if they say "NO", they must "KNOW" something.

    That's all.

    Like i said,
i think we may see some ISOLATED dates pop up,
    but no "TOUR".

The more I think about this, the more I think it is a distinct possibility that the West Coast EV Solo tour will have a backup band called Stone, Jeff, Mike and Matt. I know this has been a rumor for a while, but I am just adding two and two -- the April Fools thing, the "West Coast solo tour" and the "East Coast Pearl Jam tour", the fact that there are no other tour dates planned in 2008, etc.

I would be very pleased if this is the case -- Ed comes out and does a solo set followed by a full band set every night on the West Coast. How perfect.

Either way, I'll be happy. But if the band joins him, it would be fairly cool in the small venues.

EDIT: I wasnt saying no to you, just to the first poster. :D

I know, Im jealous of people getting to see Ed, and I think its more likely the band, or certain members of the band would join him on the solo tour.

Btu to answer the first question....a west coast trip in late summer.....no. I dont think that will happen.

I think, at BEST, there MAY be some Vote for Change type concerts, probably in Michigan, Ohio, Penn, Wisconsin, etc. But thats AT BEST.

Oh, yeah, I agree with you. Tim's response was pretty unequivocal. No other tours planned. This only makes the possibility of the band backing EV up a better likelihood, in my opinion. But no matter what, we have a good time in store!
