Stage used Guitar Picks

I was wondering, the guitar picks the guys use on stage and toss into the crowd - do they show any visible signs of use, or do that look pretty much like new?

I've never been close enough to get one myself, so I was just curious

    The ones that I have all show a bit of wear...That said, I have seen mike throw out HANDFULLS at a time at shows over the years and I would guess those are unused! :-)

    Literally handfuls. I've been 4th row in front of Mike, and a few times he threw out 20 or so to the crowd at a time.

    Gotcha. Closest I've been is Row 10 (and eternally grateful for it) so I didnt know how many of these things got tossed out. Thanks for the heads up!

    You'll also notice at shows how there's lots of people looking under every seat for a pic, knowing with the quantities that get thrown, there is bound to be some on the floor.

    And for the EV solo shows, Ed walked around the venues and placed picks all over the place before the shows....

    I found one of those - it was so exciting! And it looked slightly grey around the edges, so I think that one was used. Found a Mike pick at Philly 4 when we we went to our seat, and my daughter was given a Stone pick by someone next to her who got several when we were in 2nd row one time.

    Funny... that's how I found my EV pick - on the floor before the show started.

    Is there another thread on this that I missed?

    Mike threw out a bunch at the Melbourne show, and i happened to get one! doesn't really look used though.. still looks brand new.. pretty AWESOME though.. gotta say!!

    Vedder 1993 pick - shows some use
    Mccready 2003 - a TON of use
    Mccready 2007 - new
    Vedder 2008 (Evel pick) - some use
    Vedder 2008 (Uke pick) - some use

    I swear Mike must've played like a whole set with the 2003 pick haha
