Ever Google yourself?

I just did for a goof. Apparently someone with the exact same name as me died in a plane crash in September. Kind of weird seing your name in an obituary. Other than that, there is a lawyer, an orthopedic surgeon, a president of a corporation, a photographer and a hairstylist all with the same name. No dirt on me though which is a good thing. I like to keep a low profile. ;)

    Apparently some guy named Gary Del'Abate is also called bababooey. He's on the radio with this guy howard stern... Never Heard of him... :D

    Joking aside. I did it last year sometime and nothing came up. Kind of happy about that..

    not much comes up on me.

    however, this was anouther me that passed thru my world a few times over the years

    first was in college and the financial aid person pulled his folder.

    second time was several years later when his long lost sister called from mexico trying to find him. we talked for about 20 minutes

    final time was when his obit was in the paper and a guy in the office noticed it and thought it was me for a second.

    I am a dead confederate general. There are also quite a few of me in the world despite not having a common last name.

    My first name (Alex) went through the roof thanks to Family Ties.

    seriously, yes. every once in a while. when i use my full name, i get one listing, and an accurate one. a press release from my grad school for my master's thesis exhibition. if i use just my first and married last name, waaaaayyyyyyyy too common, there are 1,161 people with that name apparently within the US. so yea, get nada. if i use my first and maiden name, guess i've been too long married, nothing at all tied to me. so yea....i like it. :)

    Apparently, I was a star football player for Texas Tech in the 60s (even on the cover of SI!) and went on to play for the Packers and Cardinals in the NFL! Here's me scoring a TD (#44)! :P

    Nothing with my maiden name, but the first story with my married name was someone who was found in a crashed car but had been repeatedly stabbed in the chest! :o

    I think the most famous other me is a high school track star.

    The freakiest thing I ever discovered was that a popular local blogger had written an article about the top 5 women she'd turn lesbian for and I was on the list - complete with a description of my appearance & personality, my place of employment & job title, etc. :o I don't even know this woman. (Almost stranger was that a week later one of the faculty in my office Googled me to find a picture of me for a project and found the blog.)
