grohl's arms are pretty f'ing huge.

i can't stop listening to this album; yet i cannot come to terms to loving it. i do like it; the songs are very catchy and very different. but to me, it's not what i would have expected from jpj and grohl. when i think of them, i think of just hard rock and simple chords being pumped into your veins. TCV however is more of just homme experiments that i could easily get from a qotsa album.

don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to bash the album, but it's not what i expected. nonetheless, i continue to listen to it constantly so it must be working.

cinematography is really good on this video as well.

When you think of JPJ you think of simple chords and straight up hard rock? I assume you've heard Led Zeppelin?

That guy is fuckin bass riff encyclopedia. I think he's to "blame" for alotta the riffs on TCV.

I see where you're comin from as the vibe of the album is very qotsa-ish, but alotta those riffs are totally the handiwork of JPJ.

I think the album is just too much of the same thing for it to be a real favorite of mine, but there are no horrible songs on it.
